The Problem with OpenID

I just read that flickr is to become yet another OpenID server, which is annoying unless it also becomes a consumer. Here’s a list of websites I wish I could log in using my OpenID—

And that illustrates nicely, why I can’t convince most people I know, to get an OpenID. Sure there’s a lot of “cool” sites that are OpenID consumers, but they don’t mean anything to me. OpenID needs a sort of killer app website.
